Guide
Guide to choosing your first zeppelin
1. Decide what you want
Build and display, fly, or read? Kits are for shelves, RC airships for flying indoors or out, and books and prints for history lovers.
2. Choose the scale
1:720 fits on a shelf (about 34 cm for the Hindenburg). 1:400 or larger is impressive but needs space and patience.
3. Plastic or wood
Plastic offers detail and a quick build; laser-cut wood shows the frame and is a multi-evening project.
4. RC: start indoors
An indoor helium blimp is quiet and safe. FPV models with cameras cost more and need calm air.
